MY BIO

Hello! I'm Ceara. Welcome to my portfolio. I am project manager with several years of experience managing cross-functional technology projects from initiation to closure. I am an honour roll graduate with an Honours BA in English and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management. In addition, I am currently completing my MBA part-time (expected 2026). I have leadership, facilitation, recruitment, and management skills from my work as a Project Manager, Project Analyst, Project Coordinator, Manager, and Process Improvement Specialist. I am proudly located in Hamilton, Ontario and, in my spare time, I enjoy reading literature, watching films, playing video games, and spending time with my spouse and our Miniature Australian Shepherd. In addition to my hard/technical skills, I have soft skills in collaboration, communication, and teamwork. Inside and outside of the workplace, I value diligence, positivity, and continuous improvement.

HONOURS BACHELOR OF ARTS, MCMASTER UNIVERSITY

September 2010 - June 2014

Graduating summa cum laude, I received my Honours Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Classics from McMaster University. I also completed courses in Philosophy, History, Psychology, Geography, and Biology. My multidisciplinary academic record demonstrates my passion for lifelong learning. My final sessional average was 10.1 on a 12.0 scale (equivalent to ~3.7/4.0 GPA). I received my Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Fanshawe College's online (virtual) program. I graduated on the President's Honour Roll after receiving a 4.06 GPA on a 4.2 scale. These courses allowed me to develop best practices with regard to creating schedules, budgets, estimates, charters, reports, presentations, and management plans. Furthermore, by completing the program online, I was able to lead virtual teams and increase my productivity and independence while working from home.   • Manage digital transformation projects, with budgets over $750,000 in value, from initiation to closure. 

  • Lead the development of funding proposals for local and regional initiatives in alignment with provincial digital strategy.

  • Develop the work plan for the Greater Hamilton Health Network's Digital Health Secretariat.

  • Supported the GHHN in securing over $4M in digital funding since 2021. 

  • Member of the St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Council (since 2020), which is responsible for supporting the development of EDI policy and planning EDI initiatives.

  • Support the Greater Hamilton Health Network's Digital Health Secretariat by managing funding opportunities and proposal developments for our OHT, developing a project plan in alignment with ministry objectives, and liaising with partner organizations and Ontario Health regarding strategic planning and regional standardization.

  • Led the operationalization of surgical and COVID-19 Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) programs from grant proposal development to program deployment in collaboration with city-wide partners.

  • Contributed to journal publications as a co-author with researchers and academics to advance integrated care. 

  • Led the implementation of a CAN Health project for virtual pulmonary rehabilitation.
